Do checks go to the Body shop or the Insured?

On repairable vehicles, the check will be made payable to the insured and lien holder and mailed to the insured unless the insured requests that we mail it to a different location. If there is no lien holder, we will pay the body shop directly at the request of the insured. Otherwise, the check would be payable to the insured and mailed to same. On total loss settlements, we will pay the lien holder separately up to the amount of their interest in the car. Any funds left over after payoff of the lien would be sent to the policyholder.
