Apps for All Occasions
It's been a while since we've listed some of our favorite apps, so we thought it might be a good time to share.
Read on to see some apps that may help to get things accomplished, give some direction or simply just make your day a little more fun.
Google Maps
Android, iPhone: Free
Google Maps provides a reliable, clear and easy-to-use interface. It's so great that Apple approved a version of Google Maps for iOS 6 devices. Probably the best map app available.
Any.DO
Android, iPhone: Free
This organizational app helps capture what you need to do - and helps you to get it done. Any.DO seamlessly syncs with all your devices, and you can share your to-do's with friends, family, and colleagues to get even more things done.
SKYE
iPhone: Free
SKYE is a weather/photo app that lets you see the weather at a glance. Real-time conditions as well as 7-day forecasts are available, and it's quick and easy to share your weather photos with other users. You'll never again have to guess what the weather will be at your destination, and you can check conditions worldwide at a swipe of a finger.
Flipboard
Android, iPhone: Free
Ever dreamed of a magazine devoted strictly to your interests? Flipboard solves that. Set it up the way you like: add news feeds, sources that inspire and link to social networks. Flipboard becomes your "magazine."
Songza
Android, iPhone: Free
The Songza app uses the concept of collected playlists similar to apps like Pandora, but adds a personalized touch by offering playlists catered to particular moods or times of day. And unlike competing apps, users are not interrupted by ads, even after hours of listening.
